The Stained Glass Museum, Ely, Autumn Lecture Series

The Stained Glass Museum is launching its Autumn Lecture series which consists of the Annual Lecture and three autumn lectures.  


The lectures series will kick off with the Annual Lecture given this year by Professor David Newman.  David Newman will be speaking on David Hillman’s  Stained Glass windows for Synagogues.   The Annual Lecture will be held on Monday 16th September 2019 at 2pm.


A further 3 lectures will take place in October:

  • Wednesday 2nd October at 2pm -  Jane Brocket will be speaking about Mid–century modernity: new ways of looking at post-war stained glass
  • Wednesday 16th October at 2pm - Becky Clark will be speaking on New Glass Commissions and their Significance in the Life and Worship of a Church or Cathedral
  • Wednesday 23rd October at 2pm – Canon Jeremy Haselock will discuss John McLean’s three windows for Norwich Cathedral 


All the lectures take place in Ely Cathedral Conference Centre in the centre of Ely.  The tickets can be purchased from the museum shop and from the museum’s website
