In conjunction with Heritage Travel, we have reserved a 4-night holiday to explore the art, architecture and cultural heritage of Northern Italy.  The tour is designed to bring to life treasures and places which played such a significant role in the development of Italian Renaissance art. 

We shall be based in Ferrara, the perfect centre for exploring the Byzantine treasures of Ravenna, the vibrant medieval city of Bologna and Giotto’s frescos in the Scrovegni chapel in Padua.  Ferrara itself, the former capital of the Este dynasty, is a World Heritage city with a rich history of art and architecture.

The price for the 4-night holiday, including guided tours and admission fees, will be £1340, excluding flights.  There will be a single room supplement of £210 per person.

Join us to try this ancient Japanese monochrome ink art form. You will be using your own ink block and natural bamboo paint brushes. You will learn basic brush stroke techniques, and practise making images such as bamboo stems, cherry blossom, goldfish, Asian landscapes or anything of your choice. Your final artwork will be placed in a magnetic frame for you to take home! This art form has Zen Buddhism roots and the aim is to capture the spirit of the subject rather than an exact copy. This is a relaxing, creative experience suitable for all!

Carve your own Lino block and make your own handprinted, unique wrapping paper, tags and cards or scene of your choice. Alternatively use any of the wooden or foam festive themed blocks provided for this fun, relaxed session. Traditional festive motif blocks and Scandi Alpine Forest motif blocks are available.
